Can anyone identify these shingles?

I inspected a roof today with shingles that I have not seen before. Can anyone identify them?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

They’re not IKO. I just contacted them with a photo of the same type shingles. I tried googling single-tab shingle. Unable to identify them. Please let me know if you have any luck.

They are called strip shingles. Also known as a “No cutout” shingle. CertainTeed is one brand.

Never have seen them…good post.

From what I gather from different forums, these appear to be Certainteed Jet 25 no-cutout shingles…discontinued and not much information available.

There appears to have been a single-tab IKO New Englander series also, in the past, albeit Kenton said he contacted them. But, like Brad said, not much info available.:

From site:
“No cut-out shingles are normally very budget-friendly and usually have a limited 25-year warranty. CertainTeed offers them in their Jet series and you may still be able find Iko’s New Englander series at roofing distributors.”

Strip shingles is a very general term. Yes, they are, but that doesn’t help to identify them.

I included a link to one article that answered that question specifically as the title of the article states. “What are they?”

What else are you looking for? Name brand?

The article gives a couple of samples.

GAF WeatherBlocker.

Les, I appreciate the effort, but yes… positive identification of that particular shingle brand and manufacturer. IKO denied that they’d ever made shingles like these, despite the information in the article in your link. I haven’t had time to contact CertainTeed. Try them if you have time, please.

That’s starter strip, not shingles Robert. But that doesn’t mean they didn’t use starter strip for shingles. I haven’t had time to contact GAF. You want to do it?

It looks like the Frost Blend here:

Here is a youtube installation video of their no cutout Patriot brand. It mimics architectural shingles by color variations.

Thanks for pointing out my errors.
I will try to call GAFF today, Kenton.

Sorry for the edit all.

That was a little tiny image that didn’t really work, Les. Either you have an identification or you don’t.

Guys… you’ve either found someone who’s made that shingle or you haven’t. If you have… feel free to post.
