Ohio Dept of Health Indoor Radon Program Approves InterNACHI's Radon Course for CE

As of July 7, 2014, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Indoor Radon Program approves InterNACHI’s free online “Advanced Radon Measurement Service Provider” course for 16 hours of Continuing Education for state-licensed radon testing individuals.

Did you know there are still a few idiotic home inspectors out there who haven’t joined InterNACHI yet? I know, it sounds unbelievable.

That’s good news, thanks guys.
Derek

Ben,

I am licensed in Ohio as a radon tester, I have to undertake 16 hours of CE every 2 years to keep my license which expires next spring. My question is, since this will be my first renewal, do I just take the InterNACHI course and exam again (I already passed this exam) to satisfy The ODH renewal requirements?
Thanks
Derek

Yes, as far as I can tell.

Derek,
Call Chuck to verify. I’d do it but I just sat through the class a few months back and am good to go for the next couple of years, but would much rather do this way than sitting through another MURC class.

Keep us informed.

Will do Kevin…

Kevin and anyone else interested, this is the email I received from Chuck McCracken:
