Re: CO Detectors

Not only is CO less dense than “air,” it’s typically introduced through a fuel-burning appliance/motor during operation. Therefore, the CO is heated and generally warmer than the areas where it is...

Re: Found these...Whats my obligation if any?

The “size of the cache” is insignificant. Perhaps it’s “alarming” to someone who is not American, but honestly, this is not a large quantity for an avid shooter. I go through that much ammo in a year...

Re: Found these...Whats my obligation if any?

With all due respect Robert, this is absolute nonsense. First and foremost - the Second Amendment is not to protect “sporting.”

Secondly, as already pointed out, a legitimate sporting purpose...

Re: Found these...Whats my obligation if any?

.50 cal for civilian use, like others have said, is typically limited to long range target shooting.

It’s an exciting experience to fire a .50 cal, but like Chuck, I prefer the .338 Lapua. Far...

Re: Found these...Whats my obligation if any?

Huh? I certainly wouldn’t call that “large quantities.” I have more 5.56 ammo in my garage safe right now. Being a TX man, I would think you would too :D And why would you refer to it as “military...

Re: Good News for California Inspectors

Absolutely. It also puts a “bug in their brain” in the event they do think about suing an inspector for a service they didn’t pay for. They’re put on notice that it may be an uphill battle. Every...

Re: Found these...Whats my obligation if any?

Your obligation is to leave them alone and do your inspection.

What, exactly, is your “concern?”

Re: Good News for California Inspectors

The language and intent of this new addendum is to protect the member-agents (Realtors). It has no real affect on the liability of the inspector.

This is essentially a “warning” to the parties...

Re: Two main panels no sub?

Service equipment is at the meter. There’s a cover below the meter that opens and contains the service disconnect.

Each panel at the MH is a sub panel. The MH must include its own Grounding...

Re: Jan 1st 2018 weather you inspect pools or not!!!

This is why the client no longer gets the option to “opt out” of the P&S inspection with me. If I am REQUIRED to report on something, the client will be charged accordingly.

Re: If you thought Federal Pacific panels are bad

Even if this were true, the panel in your picture is not one of the types that have ever had the purported issues you're referring to.

This looks like it has more to do with the installation of...

Re: Panel screws and ticker activates

That's exactly what I would expect - flash, explosion, etc. But it's pretty unlikely that the screw would be energized without tripping a breaker or creating a fire show.

Re: Panel screws and ticker activates

That is a completely inaccurate way to check for an energized cover or energized screws. Think about it - when you place that ticker on the sheathing of NMC, you get the same indication, however, you...

Re: No Electrician I know

I think you're missing the bigger picture.

"10AWG max capacity 30A" is only one rule of many.

There are "rules" that allow 10AWG to be used on circuits with an OCPD larger than 30A.

As Home...

Re: Split bus panel?

The pictures don't show much, but it does appear to be a split bus. Were you able to see where the conductors from the 60 Amp breaker landed? The panel label would have given you all the necessary...
