Trails would show as an elevated/cooler temperature (depending on season) due to decrease/disruption in insulation allowing attic temp to show in house

Drip edges are installed under the underlayment on the rake and over on the eaves here in AZ

Did you do images before running water and then after?
If you suspect a leak you can point a fan at it and see if any thermal patterns change

I just believe that when a seal allows gas to escape no matter how much at a time the seal has failed. It has failed to contain the gas. Bottom line is no matter what the cause is the window does not...
