Re: my clients used buyback

think about this. If 5000 inspections are done with this program per day, nick reels in $25,000 per day time 5 days a week and that equals $125,000 per week. Times that times 52 and you get a...

Re: Another "We'll Buy Your Home Back" property. Anyone want it? Good deal.

$72,9000 is about right. But you took a $13,000 loss on that unit, plus expenses. Not bad for a months work

Re: my clients used buyback

No need to use and agent for INACHI to have to use an agent to buy the house back. Deals like that happen all the time. Only reason he is doing it is to discourage higher priced properties from using...

Re: Another "We'll Buy Your Home Back" property. Anyone want it? Good deal.

One thing puzzles me about this buy back program. Houses are not required to be sold by an agent. People make private deals all the time. So why must it be listed as an agent for INACHI to buy it...

Re: Move in certified in New Jersey?

Not only that, but what if you miss something. Different inspectors will give different opinions on different things, without using proper backup. This can create a lot of problems.

Re: InterNACHI looking for instructors for the South Florida school

Could it be possible that Bill York was wrong? I attended one of his first classes up in Orlando. He admitted that this was a work in progress and could not answer many of the questions asked to him....

Re: my clients used buyback

I think a special advocate should be appointed to look into this further. Nick is not supplying the proper information about why the home is being bought back. No one walks from a home over a faulty...

Re: Verbiage for an old Heat Pump

Why not write it up as if you would expect it to be written up if you were buying the house. What would you want the inspector to say.

And in 2006 you wrote: I cant pick on Joe B's and Greg B's state of Florida anymore, a state where diploma mills like ASHI, FABI, and NAHI and even the state itself has no entrance requirements...

Cant paste the picture but in 2010 you wrote in a thread: Legislation: without an association there would be no way we could resist the fake GC-Controlled inspector associations (FABI and the...

Re: Another "We'll Buy Your Home Back" property. Anyone want it? Good deal.

The only ones selling for that $90,000 are over 1200 square feet. The complex ranges from $50,000 to about $79,000 in that area. Like Robert, I have lived here for 30 years. Good luck getting your...

Re: Another "We'll Buy Your Home Back" property. Anyone want it? Good deal.

FABi was never meant to be for all inspectors. It was meant for the best of the best, and most all of them have left the association. Their goal was to train inspectors to inspect above the minimums,...

Re: Another "We'll Buy Your Home Back" property. Anyone want it? Good deal.

Nobody in their right mind is going to sue an inspector or agent over a bad GFCI. They do not stand a chance. I can understand buyers remorse, but there has to be more to it than that. They loose way...

Re: Another "We'll Buy Your Home Back" property. Anyone want it? Good deal.

A bad GFCI is not a reason to buy back a unit. Hire an electrician for $150.00 and it is fixed. What was the real reason for the buyback?

Re: Wind Mitigation - Hip or Other??

You are going to get all kinds of answers on this. The correct way to do it is to measure the entire elevated roof and add that into the perimeter (if you have not already). The two down slopes count...

Re: First stand-alone wind mit inspection

Yes and no. Sometimes you get lucky and everything is there and sometimes it is not. No one wants to make a trip to the building department, not for what they usually charge for the inspection, so...

Re: 3 things your Home Inspector would never tell you

How does having a license give one "bragging rights?" That's nothing to brag about. According to you, you have not done an inspection in 20 years. The purpose of having your license is what? With...

Re: 3 things your Home Inspector would never tell you

I don't get it, Nick. You say you haven't done a home inspection in 20 in one post and 5 years in another post. I believe the 20 years. So why would you want a home inspection license. Doesn't make...

I disagree with you Ian. Maybe things are different in California, or may be the whole industry is changing. Most of the realtors I have run into only want to close the deal. They hand out a list of...

Re: 3 things your Home Inspector would never tell you

This guy hit the nail on the head with his website. Read through it. Very few who belong to this association will agree with most of what he writes, but then, the truth is hard to bear sometimes.
