Re: Inspector shortage

First one must consider the mandatory Ontario Building code courses required, along with some evidence of at least college level technical education. Check out the requirements to actually get hired,...

Re: No home inspection

The main problem being "some" Realtors and the challenge of dealing with "bidding wars" allowed to be an accepted norm on homes, and the recommendation of waiving the home inspection condition. This...

Re: Legal FAQ Video: Should Inspectors Pay Real Estate Agents to Be on a Referral Lis

Yeah, and I also paid and learned the hard way that those Realtor brochures (aka: advertising) means absolutely little value as marketing. Most Realtors often have their preferred inspector.

Re: Hub Internation review

Good point Gilles, however it’s interesting to hear about insurers providing their stats. Other than the high risk home inspectors present......

But I admire your work to get a better deal for...

Re: Question page 56 #22 on test prep

Again - one of the basic premise is "self-evaluation" of what knowledge, skills and abilities a person brings to the table before they enter into the business. That's not to say that lack of...

Re: Wrong septic tank instulation

I've worked with litigators on a few of these. They are never easy because of the complexity of the "AHJ" in mainly smaller rural areas. Of course in a number of cases those sitting within the...

Re: Looks like Home inspectors bill is dead

I don't believe that the HIA (Home Inspector Act) is not a Private Members Bill. It has passed all 3 readings back in early Spring last year was it not?
