Re: Is it neutral bonded?

Look for the service disconnect at the meter location. You have a sub panel inside the unit, and the neutrals should not be bonded to the enclosure. Very common setup for condos.

Re: Wind Mitigation with batten decking

Since batten decking is referenced in selection "A" for RDA, I would be inclined to select A. I am not sure that a tile roof covering would be any different than wood shingles for A. If you think...

Re: Product approval code?

What do you need that for? Is the permit dated after 3/1/2002 or not? You can look up the approval number at the floridabuilding.org site for free, if you know the manufacturer and shingle series....

Re: Astm e-1886 astm e-1996

Although the 1802 does not specifically list approved standards just for the HVHZ, only Maimi-Dade Co Approved products can be used inside the HVHZ. These do not include products with only ASTM E...

Re: Ir camera for sale?

You may want to say what your budget is. I've got a FLIR T440 I am willing to sell.

Re: Split bus panel

It's been rearranged, and no longer compliant with the 6 rule. The 120v breakers should moved to the bottom section.

Re: I assume you charge based on square footage, right?

Charge acccording to the total square footage "under roof". We don't have basements, but I do look up the property on the appraisers site for size, age, pools, and crawlspaces. Garages, unfinished...

Re: What are these dark spots on shingles

Raking is pretty common on 3-tabs, at least in my area. Nailing with 4 nails is not.

Re: What are these dark spots on shingles

Not installed in a high wind zone, only 4 nails per shingle.

Re: Requirement for auxiliary Panel

Bad news. First of all, the service panel is at the meter with the service disconnect. All other panels downstream are distribution or sub panels, and the neutrals must be isolated from the box and...

Re: Who is going to do the new Cit 4 PT?

Taking pics of shutoff valves has been the standard of care for years now. Where have you been?

Re: Sub- Panel Question

It may have been ok before 2008. 3 wire feeds are not allowed anymore. If this is shore power or feeding the dock outlets, it needs GFCI protection.

Re: Cutler Hammer Breakers

Yes, the plastic foot breaker is listed for two conductors. The metal feet breakers are older and not produced anymore.

Re: Sub- Panel Question

Looks like a 3 wire feed. If on the same structure as the service panel, it's wrong. You can't float the neutral on a 3 wire feed.

Re: Cutler Hammer Breakers

Sorry guys, but my research I did years ago tells me that the metal claw foot CH breaker does not allow two conductors. It is the plastic foot CH breaker with an oval pressure plate connection point...

Re: Aluminum wire question

Nope, that wiring is in the US too. Thermoplastic insulation with rayon jacket. I don't see it often. Most of it had a PVC jacket.

Re: Aluminum wire question

Good example, but that's not cloth wiring. That's a rayon jacket. We are looking for AL with cloth covering on the individual conductors, which I do not think exists.

Re: Wind mit - roof covering permit date question

30 views and no answers yet? It appears a whole lot of wind mit inspectors need a few more hours of training.

Use the original building permit date. The original roof is included with that permit.

Make sure it's permitted. Everything else will fall into place, hopefully.
