To Become a Certified Home Inspector

To become an InterNACHI Certified Home Inspector and attain the Certified Professional Inspector CPI® designation, complete the home inspector certification requirements. The training, exam, and certification are all online and free for members. 
 


 

Hands-On Training at House of Horrors® 

Experience world-class inspection training and InterNACHI® member events at our House of Horrors® locations in Colorado and Florida.  The InterNACHI® House of Horrors® is an entire house with 1,000 defects built under our roof.  Register for a free event, take training, test-drive inspection tools, attend an inspector chapter meeting, and inspect the House of Horrors®.  Experience the House of Horrors®.




Home Inspector Continuing Education (free & online)

InterNACHI-Certified Home Inspectors are required to complete 24 hours of Continuing Education every year to renew their certification.  View the Continuing Education Policy.  InterNACHI's online education courses are free to members.  
 

 
 

Insurance for Inspectors​

Although Hawaii doesn’t have requirements regarding insurance for home inspectors, many local real estate boards and home inspector business franchises require their affiliate members to meet certain coverage standards. Real Estate Cards (free to members)

 
Licensed real estate agents can attain free, online Continuing Education through InterNACHI. The marketing cards can be passed out to licensed real estate agents. The cards provide instructions on how agents can access the online courses to renew their license. The cards are free for InterNACHI members.
 
When a real estate agent enters the InterNACHI member's ID number, the member is automatically notified by email and the first slide of the course contains the member's contact information.
 
 
 
 
 

Radon Tester Certification in Hawaii (online & free)

      
The Hawaii Indoor Air Quality Program does not regulate professionals providing radon measurement services. Read Hawaii letter. Become a Certified Radon Tester by completing InterNACHI's free, online "Advanced Radon Measurement Service Provide Course." 
 
NRPP:
InterNACHI's free, online "Advanced Radon Measurement Service Provide Course" is AARST-NRPP approved for both initial certification and Continuing Education. To complete all components of the NRPP Radon Certification, please visit their site for more information.  
 
NRSB:

Wood-Destroying Organisms (online & free)


The Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs requires that pest field operators be certified and licensed through the state. Requirements may be found here. InterNACHI's Wood-Destroying Organisms (WDO) Inspection Course can be used as an educational tool for those looking to become licensed.
 
 
 
 

Home Energy Inspector Certification (online & free)

 
Become a Certified Home Energy Inspector. The online training and certification is free for members. No infrared, no blower door, and no additional training needed.
 
 
 
 

Roof Data Technician (free for members)

  
The Roof Data Technician Program, developed by InterNACHI and Owens Corning and Lowe's, provides an additional revenue stream for InterNACHI members who are hired by Owens Corning as part of a roof warranty claim resolution process. (This program is operational in the United States only.) Participate in the InterNACHI/Owens Corning Roof Data Technician Program.
 
 
 
 

Business & Marketing (online & free)

 

InterNACHI's Marketing Team will design a new logo for your inspection business or re-design your existing logo, and design and customize your business cards, flyers and brochures. It's all for free. Keep in touch with all of your clients! The InterNACHI Homeowner Newsletter is: 
  • free to members;
