To Become Licensed

To become a licensed home inspector in Florida, the state requires an individual to complete:

  • a state-approved, 120-hour course; and
  • a proctored state-approved exam.


120 Hours & State Exam

Our class at the InterNACHI School in Boulder, Colorado:

  • is approved by the Florida DBPR;
  • includes all 120 hours (a package of 40 hours of live training at the InterNACHI School and 80 hours of online courses);
  • includes the proctored Florida State exam;
  • includes the House of Horrors®;
  • includes a free one-year membership in InterNACHI® (for non-members only);
  • includes Certified Master Inspectors® as your instructors;
  • includes breakfast and lunch every day; and
  • costs $1,875.

The 40 hours of training will be completed over five days at the InterNACHI School in Boulder, Colorado. You'll be advancing your skills by performing inspections at the House of Horrors®, an entire house with a thousand defects built under our roof.

The total cost for the 120-hour Florida Pre-Licensing Course, including the five-day (40-hour) class, 80 hours of online courses, and proctored state exam is $1,875.

The five-day (40-hour) live class is held at the InterNACHI School and the House of Horrors® in Boulder, Colorado. The other 80 hours are to be completed online.


Membership Is Included

If you're not a member of InterNACHI® when you purchase the class, you will receive your first year of membership free (for non-members only), which is included with the price of the class.


Online Courses Are Included

The 80 hours of online courses are included in the purchase of the five-day class held at the InterNACHI School in Boulder, Colorado. You may take the online courses before, during, or after the live class. Once you complete all 120 hours of training, you will receive a Certificate of Completion.


State Exam Is Included

The proctored state exam for Florida home inspector licensing is included with the purchase of the five-day class held in Boulder, Colorado. You may take the exam right after the class. You may repeat the exam at no additional cost, if you happen to fail. Once you pass the state exam, you may download the Certificate.
