Training Description

This is a two-day, 16-hour training is designed specifically for home and building inspectors in the theory and application of thermal imaging for residential and commercial properties.

This training will provide in-depth theoretical and practical instruction on how to detect and locate hidden problems using thermal imaging in the electrical system, HVAC system, roof, exterior, building sidewalls, and other subsystems. You're encouraged to bring your own thermal imager to learn how to use it more effectively.

We'll also cover how to analyze images and write reports, as well as how to successfully price, market, and sell infrared inspection services.

Your attendance in this training may be applied to the training requirements for thermographer certification through Infraspection Institute, and Infrared-Certified® certification through InterNACHI®. The training cost includes a Student Reference Manual and Certificate of Completion.

About the Instructor

Jim has been an Infraspection Institute-Certified Infrared Thermographer® since 1984, and is now a Level III Master Thermographer™.  He is co-founder of Jersey Infrared Consultants and a practicing thermographer with over 30 years' experience. Also a Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP), Jim has written numerous articles and co-written existing standards, and frequently works as an expert witness on projects involving thermography. He has been teaching for Infraspection Institute since 1995 and was appointed its director in April 2000. Jim is the Director of Thermography Training for InterNACHI®.
