The Home Energy Score is a great way to add value to your home inspection services. And our intention is to have the Home Energy Score added to every MLS in the U.S.

Developed by the U.S. Department of Energy, a Home Energy Score helps homeowners save on their utility bills. A homeowner could save over $1,200 every year by following the recommendations auto-generated in the Score report.

This live two-day class will expedite the process for you to become a Department of Energy-approved Home Energy Score Assessor by taking you through the simulation training and exam. A third day is reserved for optional mentoring with our expert instructor Joe Hall to fulfill that requirement. You can sign up for mentoring time slots on the first day of the class.

Wednesday & Thursday,
October 25-26, 2017

9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day

Total Cost: $350

The Colorado class is held at the InterNACHI School inside InterNACHI® Headquarters located in Boulder. Students will be able to tour the House of Horrors®, a full-size house with a thousand defects built in.

Your expert instructor Joe Hall will take you through the classroom, 3D simulation, and hands-on training. Most students should be done testing by the end of class and be ready for mentoring.

This class will provide you with:

  • immediate feedback and help on the simulation exams;
  • group mentoring. You'll have the opportunity to complete your mentoring requirement directly following the course at the reduced rate of $150 (down from $200);
  • marketing strategies to help you promote this ancillary service to your clients;
  • a free six-month membership in InterNACHI® (for non-members); and
  • free lunch each day!

Class Pre-requisite

You must be an InterNACHI® Home Energy Inspector to take this class, which is a certification that's free and online for InterNACHI® members. Not a member? Register for the class, and you'll receive a free six-month membership (for non-members only).

Computer Requirements

You must bring with you a PC or Mac laptop (and charger) with a minimum 64-bit processor and an operating system that can run the Firefox, Chrome, Edge, or Safari browser, with cookies and plug-ins enabled.
