CCPIA® Director & Lead Instructor
Rob Claus is an Illinois-licensed home inspector and has been a professional inspector since 1988. He’s personally inspected more than 15,000 properties. Rob has held numerous industry-elected positions and has taught for some of the leading inspection education providers in the country, and has been a frequent presenter at national inspection conferences. In 2022, Rob assumed the role of Director of Education for CCPIA®, the Certified Commercial Property Inspectors Association, helping create in-person classes and online courses.
Ben Gromicko
InterNACHI’s COO & InterNACHI® School’s CAO
As InterNACHI’s COO and InterNACHI® School’s CAO, Ben Gromicko is responsible for their daily operation, including the development, management, operation, improvement, and monitoring of the systems that create and deliver education and services for members. Curtis Kelley
CEO of West Ivy Home Inspection
Curtis Kelley is the founder and CEO of West Ivy Home Inspections, a multi-inspector full-service home inspection company. Previously, Curtis was the lead inspector, trainer and quality assurance manager of San Diego’s largest multi-inspector home inspection company. With over a decade of experience in real estate and home inspections, he has completed more than 5,000 inspections throughout San Diego and Southern California. His clients include EXP Realty, RedFin, Berkshire Hathaway, Coldwell Banker, and Century 21.
Clay Collins
Certified Master Inspector®
Following 27 years in the banking industry, Clay Collins embarked on a new career to inspect what he had been helping to finance. He is a TREC-licensed home inspector and holds numerous ICC certifications related to residential and commercial inspection, home energy, pool safety, and thermal imaging. Clay is also Certified Master Inspector ® and a member of InterNACHI ® , TPREIA, and ASHI. He also has a background in tile roof installation.
Shannon Gatewood
Certified Master Inspector®
Shannon is a TREC-licensed Professional Inspector and Certified Master Inspector®. He retired from the United States Air Force after a 20-year career. Through a twist of fate and a little bit of luck, Shannon found a second career in the Home Inspection world. Although some may regard him as a little rough around the edges, there is no denying his passion for the industry and his desire to do his part to lift the industry up.
Derrick McMullen

TREC-Licensed Professional Inspector Derrick McMullen has been active in the inspection industry since 2004. A member of TPREIA and InterNACHI® since 2011, Derrick served on the TPREIA board as the education director for several years, and has taught and attended classes at many annual conventions.

Matthew Hawley is an Illinois-licensed home inspector the General Manager of Hawley Home Inspections LLC. He is also an InterNACHI® Certified Professional Inspector® and a Certified Master Inspector®.
Billy Viars
Simpson Strong-Tie
Billy Viars is the Education and Training Manager for the Southeast region at Simpson Strong-Tie, where he has worked for over 15 years. He develops and delivers educational content through workshops, webinars, and more, while also providing technical support on building codes, product usage, and testing. Billy is dedicated to improving the quality of design and construction through effective educational programs and solutions for the industry.

Rhamy Morrison
Industry Expert
Rhamy Morrison’s experience covers decades in the HVAC-R, electrical, and plumbing industries (NAICS 2382- 10 & 20). His knowledge spans code comprehension, application and design, installation and service, business management and ownership, and teaching. Rhamy holds a master’s degree in HRD-Adult Education from the University of Texas at Tyler, and he has applied that knowledge to further his career by teaching others the skills of troubleshooting, mitigation, application, and business management in the mechanical and electrical industries. Rhamy runs Morrison Development and Consulting Trades in Tyler. He is a lifetime member of ASHRAE, a member of RSES and NATE, and a past member of IAEI, ACCA, and NCI.
Mike Molloy
TREC Enforcement Director
Mike Molloy has been the TREC Enforcement Director since February 2020. He has practiced law in Texas since 2003 and has over 15 years of experience in real estate law. He has proudly worked as a staff attorney at TREC for 11 years, serving as a team leader for the Houston region and the attorney liaison to the TREC Inspector Committee. Before joining TREC, he worked in the title industry and as a private practice attorney. Mike received his undergraduate degree from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, and his Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio.
