5-Day Become a Home Inspector Training

Join us for five days of home inspection training at the InterNACHI® House of Horrors®. This training is for anyone new to the home inspection business and for those who want to enhance their skills. Certified Master Inspectors CMI® will teach you at the House of Horrors®, an entire house built with a thousand defects under our roof. You will conduct supervised home inspections at the House of Horrors® and write inspection reports with other inspectors.
Advanced Well Inspection Training
$499 USD for InterNACHI® members
$599 USD for non-members
Upon successful completion of the training at the House of Horrors@, the student will be able to identify the different types of wells, perform a proper water test, check the well's meter and interpret the results, understand static water testing and what it tells you about the well, report to clients defects observed in a well system during an inspection, identify health and safety hazards in the well system, and understand the importance of well water quality and safety. You will inspect a mock-up functioning well system under controlled conditions in a hands-on classroom setting.

Sewer Scope Inspection Training

Become a Certified Sewer Scope Inspector by taking this one-day hands-on training held at the InterNACHI® House of Horrors®. You'll learn how to perform sewer scope inspections, identify and describe pipes and defects observed during the inspection, and add this ancillary inspection to your business in the most profitable way. You'll be using a few different types of sewer scopes and cameras. And you'll be inspecting various types of pipe and defects purposely installed in the pipe system at the House of Horrors®.

This two-day Advanced Home Inspection Training Class at the House of Horrors® will cover electrical systems, plumbing systems, HVAC systems, structural systems, EIFS and synthetic stucco systems, and inspection procedures. This training provides deep instruction and information that goes beyond a basic visual home inspection.

Introduction to Commercial Property Inspections 3-Day Class

This 3-day in-person training at the House of Horrors@ or partnership locations will teach you how to inspect commercial buildings. Students will learn inspection procedures and successful business practices. We will learn the key differences between commercial and residential services, including types of properties, systems, components, standards, procedures, and clients. This class is hosted by the Certified Commercial Property Inspectors Association - CCPIA.org.

COST-TO-CURE REPORTING FOR COMMERCIAL PROPERTY INSPECTORS
CCPIA members: $1,000

In this two-day class, you will learn how to create a cost-to-cure report and put it into practice by visiting a commercial building and going through the process of identifying and documenting information using a sample spreadsheet template that can be customized for future reports. The class will also delve into the structure of commercial cost-to-cure reports, examining various types, sources, software, and information gathering methods.
Additional topics include limitations, liabilities, risks, and marketing practices of cost-to-cure reports, along with terminology and ways to communicate effectively in the commercial real estate arena. Cost-to-cure reports are great value-adds to your existing inspection services and enable you to increase your bottom line.

This one-day of in-person training offers students the opportunity to participate in a full day of hands-on training inspecting a commercial building. The subject building provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity to inspect three common types of commercial properties — a restaurant, a brewery, and an auto repair garage with CCPIA Instructor Rob Claus, CMI®. You will inspect a variety of commercial systems and discuss inspection methodology, how the systems work, defect recognition, and best practices for report writing. This class is hosted by the Certified Commercial Property Inspectors Association - CCPIA.org.
This training will be conducted at a Partner Location and not at the HOH.

Certified Residential Thermographer CRT Training

During this 2-day class, students will learn to use an infrared camera to detect thermal patterns caused by defects, energy loss, water problems, and moisture intrusion. You'll also learn how to interpret results and recognize the limitations of thermal imaging. Each attendee successfully completing all requirements and a final exam will become a Certified Residential Thermographer. Monroe Infrared hosts this training.
