Ray Kline, CMI®
Ray is our lead instructor at the InterNACHI School. Ray is a Certified Master Inspector® based in Loveland, Colorado. He has worked as an electrician since 1973, obtaining his Master Electrician’s license in 1990. He operated his own electrical contracting firm and worked for various municipalities throughout his previous career, supervising ten crews at one point. Ray opened All Phase Inspections in 2011 and has performed more than 1,000 residential and commercial inspections to date.
Lon Henderson, CMI®
Certified Master Inspector® Lon Henderson has been a home and commercial property inspector since 1998. He was an instructor for Kaplan University and is a past chapter president of NAHI. Lon's specialty is HVAC training for home inspectors.
Rick DeBolt, CMI®
Brian Persons, CMI®
Brian Persons is the owner-operator of Front Range Home Inspections based in Greeley, Colorado. A resident of Northern Colorado for nearly 40 years, he graduated from Aims Community College and attended the University of Northern Colorado after serving in the U.S. Air Force. His background includes construction, retails sales, and insurance inspections. A Certified Master Inspector®, HUD 203(k) Consultant, FHA Fee Inspector, FEMA-Certified Inspector, and FAA Part 107-Certified Remote Drone Pilot, Brian’s services include radon and mold testing, and commercial and residential property inspections.
Russ Ackerman, CMI®
Certified Master Inspector® Russ Ackerman is a Minnesota native who moved to Colorado in 2000. He’s also Infrared-Certified®, and trained and certified for mold and radon testing by InterNACHI®. An avid volunteer for church and youth groups, Russ has been performing inspections for more than 10 years in the Denver metro area, as well as along Colorado’s Front Range, from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs.
Joe Hall has more than 20 years’ experience in the area of building science, with a background in the building trades and weatherization field installation. He’s held positions as an energy auditor, furnace technician and supervisor, and training director. Joe is a contract trainer, consultant, and subject-matter expert for the private sector, as well as for community colleges and governmental entities through his company, Joe Hall Energy Consulting LLC. A BPI Super Proctor and energy assessor for IREC, ANCI, and HEP certifications, Joe’s passion is to show inspectors and other professionals how to safely and effectively diagnose and resolve issues surrounding energy, comfort, and building durability.
Steve was born in Boulder, Colorado, and raised on Colorado’s Front Range. His father introduced him to the fireplace industry over 20 years ago. Since then, he has worked in the fireplace industry for various companies and agencies. Steve currently owns and operates Fireplace Solutions & Services, designing, installing and servicing all makes, models and variations of fireplace equipment, as well as educating consumers in fireplace safety, including their proper installation and maintenance. He has certified thousands of fireplaces over his career.
George Wells, CMI®
George is the founder of MSI and BestInspectors.net, and has been performing home inspections since 1999 and commercial building inspections since the 1980s. He's been a licensed electrical contractor since 1981. A Certified Master Inspector® and Certified Fee Inspector, George holds an MBA, as well as a BS in electrical engineering. He's a New York State-approved home inspection and business instructor, an Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board-approved instructor, a Michigan Department of Construction Codes-approved instructor for skilled trades, technology and business, an instructor for Inspection Time Training Career College in Calgary, Alberta, and a faculty member of the Merrell Institute in New York.
Kenton Shepard, CMI®
After spending over 30 years in residential and light commercial construction as a carpenter and contractor, Kenton became a home inspector in 2001 and an InterNACHI member in 2004. He is the author of three English-Spanish construction phrasebooks (published by the NAHB), as well as numerous articles and online and video courses for InterNACHI®, including its Green Building Inspection and Log Home Inspection courses, along with several residential roof inspection video courses. He is also the author of InterNACHI's Library of Inspection Narratives, a set of home inspection field guides, and a report-writing guide (available through Inspector Outlet and www.hinarratives.com). A Certified Master Inspector®, Kenton serves as InterNACHI's Director of Green Building and Director of International Development, and is the designer and builder of InterNACHI’s House of Horrors®.
Chris “CK” Krowiak is a graphic designer on InterNACHI’s Member Marketing Team. He specializes in creating unique logos for members, along with original illustrations depicting home systems and components. CK works with each member to integrate their personal vision and “wish list” with sound design principles, and develops a memorable image that will resonate with both the member and their target market. He counsels members about the importance of branding -- starting with the logo.
Catherine Hall has been a practicing FHA 203k Consultant since 1999 and has completed more than 500 consultations, in addition to having performed more than 3,000 home inspections. She is a certified a FEMA Disaster Relief Inspector, a REAC Contract inspector, a PA/DEP Lead Risk Assessor, a PA/DEP Radon Measurement Technician, and a PA/DEP Licensed Pest Control Operator. In 2001, Catherine started Value Termite and Pest Control to assist home buyers and sellers with pest control services. She is the author of Major Purpose, Major Decisions: The 7 Things to Know Before Hiring a Home Inspector, as well as Insights of a Successful 203k Consultant: How to Have or Run a Trouble-Free FHA Renovation Project. She is also the creator of the nationally recognized "203k in a Box” system. Catherine he has trained and mentored thousands of FHA 203k Consultants across the country. She is also the founder and owner of Value Home Inspections.
Dennis Bonner, CMI®
Certified Master Inspector® Dennis Bonner is a licensed home inspector, certified general contractor, and an InterNACHI-Certified Home Inspector. He is president of Florida Insurance Inspection, Inc., a full-service inspection company serving Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. He performs Windstorm Inspections, 4-Point Inspections, Roof Condition Certifications, Condominium Inspections, insurance valuations, appraisals, and Pre-Purchase Home Inspections on a daily basis. Dennis's bilingual staff prides itself on providing prompt, courteous and professional service to all of their valued customers. To date, they have completed more than 30,000 inspections.

Born and raised in Queens, New York, Jamie McDonnell is a South Florida-based serial entrepreneur and the founder of numerous successful companies and restaurants, including the Weston Dining Group. One of his earliest ventures was the environmental testing company PRO-LAB®, which he founded in 1998. PRO-LAB’s headquarters in Weston, Florida, is now home to the InterNACHI School’s Florida Campus and the second House of Horrors®. In addition to his business ventures and investments, Jamie is a dedicated philanthropist, and sits on the board of the Boys & Girls Clubs. He also created the Dan Marino Wine & Food Festival, with all proceeds donated to the Dan Marino Foundation.
Joe Ferry, Esq.
Joe Ferry has responded to more than 900 claims during the last decade as the preeminent attorney in the home inspection industry. His mission is to educate and advocate on behalf of home inspectors against disgruntled clients. Joe travels the country presenting educational seminars, informing and engaging inspectors in a presentation that details how they can minimize risk and maximize protection from meritless claims. Joe also developed a strategic go-to market response to meritless claims through ClaimIntercept™, his proprietary method of early intervention that covers a home inspector against potential professional liability claims. Joe is also a member of InterNACHI's Board of Directors.
John Shishilla, CMI®
A dedicated, hands-on professional, John is the owner of the multi-inspector firm Honor Construction Inspection Services of Florida. He has been working in the inspection industry continuously for nearly two decades. He is a Certified Master Inspector®, a Florida-licensed home inspector (#21), a licensed mold assessor (#MRSA1544), and an active licensed Certified Residential Contractor (#CRC1330745). John's first-hand knowledge of the inspection industry is incomparable, and he regularly shares it with inspectors and business owners on the InterNACHI message board and at national events, where he is often a featured speaker.
Juan Garcia, CMI®
Florida-licensed home inspector Juan Garcia is a Certified Master Inspector® and owner of the multi-inspector firm Same Day Inspection, along with a new construction company that did over $1 million of business in its first year of operation. Holding state licenses as a mold assessor and remediator, general contractor and roofing contractor, and real estate associate, Juan has worked in some aspect of the homebuilding and real estate industries since 2002, following his eight-year service in the U.S. Army. Juan is passionate about innovation and sharing his knowledge as a successful business owner.
James Krumm, CMI®
James Krumm is a Certified Master Inspector® and has been an InterNACHI® Colorado Chapter office and volunteer since at least 2008. The owner-operator of Best Home Inspections, he has more than 25 years’ experience in the real estate industry, and is an electronics specialist. He holds certifications from the AARST-NRPP in radon testing, and is a certified well inspector and water sampler. In addition to his more than 1,700 hours of training and Continuing Education, Jim holds a two-year degree from the Dunwoody College of Technology.
Mark Cohen, J.D., LL.M.
Mark Cohen earned his BA in Economics at Whitman College in Washington in 1980, and received his law degree from the University of Colorado in 1983. From 1983 to 1987, he served as a Judge Advocate (JAG) in the U.S. Air Force, and as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney. In 1986, he won the American Bar Association's Outstanding Young Military Service Lawyer Award. For nearly 10 years, Mark worked in litigation and bankruptcy matters throughout Nebraska. He returned to Colorado in 1995 and served 18 months as a Municipal Judge for the City of Boulder, and sat on the Executive Board of the Colorado Municipal League. He has appeared on MSNBC, the Today Show, the Jimmy Kimmel Show, and several other national programs. An accomplished writer, Mark has published six articles in the American Jurisprudence Proof of Facts series, including one on "Piercing the Corporate Veil," as well as several articles for InterNACHI® on legal matters affecting home inspectors. He also drafts contract templates for members, which incorporate plain English in an effort to minimize legalese. Mark has been InterNACHI’s General Counsel since 2005.
