Feb 20, 2006 Update:
 
The Education Committee is accepting names of those persons wishing to assist in this project.
 
We are in the process of establishing a volunteer network of InterNACHI State Educational Representatives, or Educational Administrators, whose function will be to act for InterNACHI in accordance with InterNACHI's Educational Policies and / or with that State's Continuing Educational Policies, Rules, and Regulations.
 
Presently, two persons have accepted this responsibility for their States .....

Feb 17, 2006 Update:
 
The new Education Committee was formed December 18, 2005. The membership of the new Committee was then selected from those who volunteered ( or were drafted ) for the positions.
 
The Education Committee currently consist of 20 InterNACHI members; educators, engineers, InterNACHI staff, and home inspectors from Northern Canada to Southern Florida.
 
Members Include:
The Committee to date;
 
I.  Is working with the InterNACHI Legal Dept., to offer, Vendor Educational courses and material to InterNACHI, for individual State CEU's.
 
         Team Leader....Russ Myers
 
II. Is in the process of determining the requirements of individual States, pertaining to State Continuing Educational Credits.
 
          Team Leader...Aimee Jalowsky
          Assistants......Ken Demski, Dan Michura, Bill Poole, Mark Bailey, Gregg Bell, and Timothy Gardner
 
III. Is in the process of establishing a network of InterNACHI State Representatives, or Administrators, whose function will be to act for InterNACHI in accordance with that State's
    Continuing Educational Policies, Rules and Regulations.

IV. Completing several Education Links for on line Educational Courses.

            Assistants.......Will Decker, Paul Hinsperger, Mike Rose, Robert O'Connor, PE, Claude Lawrenson, and Gary Johnson
 
V.  Is in the process of getting InterNACHI recognized with various Training Institutions or Organizations.

VI. Is working with the InterNACHI Traveling Educational Unit, to provide those courses for State CEU's.

VII. Is working with the InterNACHI Executive Staff to reinstate incentive programs wherein InterNACHI Members may be rewarded for presenting Advanced Educational Courses for review and possible acceptance for Educational Credits for the Membership.

VIII. Collating already approved InterNACHI Educational materials and courses in order to provide them to all InterNACHI Chapters for presentation.

IX.   The Canadian Members of this Committee is also preparing recommendations to make the InterNACHI Exams more Canadian friendly.

As we all know, education begins at home. All this, and more, will be distributed to the local InterNACHI Chapters for implementation and presentation.
 
The InterNACHI Members who have so graciously volunteered for the completion of these task are hard at work to provide the best Advanced Educational opportunities available.
 
Needles to say, this is a major undertaking by InterNACHI. It will not happen overnight, but it's happening.
 
If these endeavors are to succeed, it will take the efforts of all InterNACHI Members. Attend local Chapter Meetings. Become active in your local Chapter. Be constructive.
