InterNACHI

John McKenna

I live way out in the country of east Texas and have a wonderful wife and four children.  My son has taken over our construction company and helps me with our home inspection company (http://www.Texas-Inspection. com).  Our family also breeds German shepherd dogs (http://www.GermanShepherdPet. com).

I started in construction back in 1977 and became a licensed inspector in 1998.
I am an approved instructor with the Texas Real Estate Commission, and I also teach InterNACHI's Infrared Certified Training Course (http://www.Infrared- Certified.com). We also teach a free Energy Audit Class  (http://www.EnergyAuditClass. com).

In order to help train home inspectors, we have worked together with NACHI.TV to develop several videos, including  "Consumers' Guide To Infrared Thermography," "Space-Age Radiant Barriers For Windows," and the "Energy Audit Class."  Our goal is to equip inspectors with advanced classes in order to help them stay on the cutting-edge of the ever-evolving marketplace.

I enjoy working with InterNACHI, and I currently serve as the Executive Director of the Master Inspector Certification Board.  As you can see, I stay pretty busy within the home inspection industry and meet a lot people in the field.  Also, as an approved advisor for AllExperts.com, I have responded to a lot of questions. If I can ever help you, please feel free to call me at 936-546-2435.

I look forward to meeting many of my fellow inspectors at some of our upcoming home inspection conventions.
