InterNACHI® Inspectors Can Now Inspect Adams Homes: Press Release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

InterNACHI® Prevails in Dispute Against Adams Homes of Georgia

BOULDER, Colo. (May 14, 2019) – Attorneys working on behalf of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors have confirmed that Adams Homes AEC, LLC, of Georgia, will now allow InterNACHI® inspectors to inspect their new-construction homes.

Their newly revised Home Inspection Policy includes the following language:

Home inspectors hired by prospective purchasers of any home constructed by Adams Homes AEC, LLC shall conform to the following policies:
[...]
2.  Copy of Certification from a nationally accredited inspection organization or a copy of a Georgia Builders License.

This is seen as a win for InterNACHI® inspectors, who were previously barred from inspecting new builds constructed by Adams Homes.

Attorney Katy Furr of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, P.C., in Atlanta has been representing InterNACHI® in matters in which homebuilders' inspection policies have precluded home buyers from hiring InterNACHI® home inspectors.  She'll continue to pursue such policies that unfairly discriminate against InterNACHI® Certified Home Inspectors.
