HOME INSPECTORS’ EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM EARNS 27 CREDITS

Boston, MA - Arnold Green announced today, that the next scheduled educational program specifically designed for Home Inspectors, will begin on Monday, April 24, 2006.  The courses have been approved for 27 CONTINUING EDUCATIONAL CREDITS by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the State of Connecticut and InterNACHI (National Association of Certified Home Inspectors).

The program which will be held in the Boston, MA area, consists of 4 six hour and 1 three hour courses, taught over a 2 week period (2 Mondays, 2 Wednesdays and a Saturday).

The courses are designed to sharpen the Home Inspector’s skills when inspecting gas and oil heating systems, air conditioning and domestic hot water heating systems.  The 3 hour Saturday morning course will be held in the laboratory of a trade school which trains heating and air conditioning technicians.  This is a “hands-on” session where there are operable heating systems as well as “cut-aways” of boilers and heating system components.  The program also includes courses on report writing and applicable building codes.

These are “stand alone” courses so that the Home Inspector can choose any or all of the classes depending on his personal interests, professional needs and continuing educational requirements.  A specially written text book (over 400 pages) is provided and a certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of each course.

Arnold Green has been a Home Inspector since 1986.  Prior to entering the Home Inspection profession, he spent 30 years in the oil heating business.  During that time he was involved in the installation and servicing of heating and cooling systems, and domestic hot water heating systems.  He supervised 4 oilheat technicians and 2 installation contractors.  From 1990 to 2001 he taught “Heating Systems Inspections”, one of the core courses in Northeastern University’s Certificate Program in Home Inspection.  He was awarded the University’s “Outstanding Faculty Award” for 1994-1995.

A detailed description of the courses and tuition fees can be obtained by contacting Arnold Green by phone, mail or e-mail.

Mr. Green will be speaking at an upcoming InterNACHI meeting in MA.
