You are invited to join A to Z Inspections as they host our monthly Central Oklahoma InterNACHI Chapter Meeting. This meeting is for all inspectors and students to attend. You do not have to be a member of InterNACHI to attend. Feel free to bring guests you think might be interested.
Every home built at the House Factory is built to the current Oklahoma Residential Code, currently the 2024 IRC. The same code $1,000,000 homes are built to. Manufactured homes are built to the HUD code with much different requirements. Modular homes are just a construction technique. They are still stick framed, with normal 2x4 walls, 2x6 or 2x8 rafters and ceiling joists, and engineered wooden I-joists for the second floor system. We started as stick builders 28 years ago, we just figured out it was more efficient to do it inside. When our homes are bricked and finished, you would never know they were built modularly. And that’s how we want it. No appraisal differences, no lending differences, no one knows or cares.
