July Monthly Meeting (Past Event)

This month we have 2 speakers.  Meeting cost: $25 for chapter members and $35 for non-member

Question of the day: When you perform an inspection how much do you know about your customer? The appointment gets booked, you show up and do the inspection, give a summary at the end and leave?  

Or do you take time at the beginning of the inspection to get to know your customer.  Have a conversation, learn more about them, what they do for a living and what they know.  

Do you tailor your inspection to meet the needs of that customer?  Do you learn anything about them during the inspection?  Do you get to know them in the 3 hours time frame that you have during the inspection?

All points to ponder and we will get into this at the meeting.



Jerry Bongard with Granite Bank is a mortgage broker who is going to do 2 things.  1. Talk about the basics of the mortgage business, terms that you should know and loan programs that could be helpful to your buyer2. Give you information that can help with that conversation you might have with your customer on what they should/shouldn't do before they close on the home they are purchasing.  Some interesting stuff that you may not have thought about.

Mike Daowst with JML Pump Systems is a local manufacturer in Germantown. He will be discussing different types of pumps, proper sizing, crock sizing, backup systems and most important differentiation in pumps available.
A pump is not just a pump. It is not selling a YUGO although this one does still look nice!  :)

Providing good information to your client only makes you a better inspector.
