InterNACHI Acquiring EDI

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

InterNACHI Acquiring Exterior Design Institute (EDI)

BOULDER, Colo.  (Dec. 17, 2009) -- The Exterior Design Institute (EDI), the leading exterior-cladding inspection training association which has been certifying third-party inspectors for over a decade, and InterNACHI, the world's largest inspection trade association, are pleased to announce that, after many months of discussions, the two organizations have entered into a joint-venture agreement and are structuring a merger into InterNACHI's global operations.

InterNACHI will begin to provide its current members access to advanced EDI training on EIFS, building envelope, stucco, claddings, and the just-released EDI Toxic Drywall Inspector Certification Course, which will be available online to members of both organizations.  EDI members will benefit from InterNACHI's vast, worldwide infrastructure and ability to deliver the EDI training, its networking opportunities in the 55 countries InterNACHI currently operates in, and InterNACHI's outstanding reputation in the industry.

We anticipate that InterNACHI will complete the merger and assume EDI's operations by the third quarter of 2010.  We encourage members of each organization to prepare for this full assimilation by availing themselves of the educational resources of both organizations.  InterNACHI extends thanks to dual member Ron Huffman for all his work in bringing the two organizations together.
