InterNACHI ANNOUNCES MEMBER DISCOUNT FOR EDR NEIGHBORHOOD ENVIRONMENTAL REPORT™

May 23, 2007 -- The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) announced today that it has partnered with Environmental Data Resources, Inc. (EDR), the market leader in providing environmental risk information.  This partnership gives InterNACHI  members the opportunity to offer EDR’s Neighborhood Environmental Report™ (NER), a report that provides  objective information and guidance to real estate professionals, home sellers and buyers about issues like leaking underground storage tanks, hazardous waste sites or spills, “meth labs”, and Superfund sites.

All inspectors offering the EDR reports must be trained and certified, an the partnership provides InterNACHI home inspectors with a discounted rate for EDR’s convenient, online certification training program.  While the regular cost for the training is $249, the InterNACHI Member Discount Rate is $199.

EDR’s new national ad campaign as seen in the May issues of REALTOR and Real Estate magazines is motivating real estate agents nationwide to seek out EDR-Certified home inspectors to provide reports to their home buyers and sellers.  Home inspectors who offer the EDR report have an opportunity to earn $100 per report sold while providing a great value-added service.  EDR reports are sold on a per report basis – there are no other annual fees or subscription fees.  The MSRP for the report is $150.

EDR offers the Neighborhood Environmental Report through home inspectors nationwide to check for environmental issues on a property that could affect a family’s health or their investment. Home inspectors are the logical choice to provide an environmental report.  They are already involved in the transaction, they are an advocate for the consumer, they have local knowledge, and they are experienced in providing information in a fact-based, balanced way that does not create undue alarm.

Home inspectors who become EDR-Certified enable their clients to proceed to closing with greater peace of mind and less chance of unpleasant surprises.  To join the ranks of EDR-Certified home inspectors nationwide, register today or contact EDR for more information at 800 624-0470 or homeinspectors@edrnet.com.
