InterNACHI's New Jersey Chapter Meeting (Past Event)

Wednesday, November 12th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm EST

Spray applied foam insulation has been around since the ‘50’s.  It’s code compliant and site manufactured.  As an inspector you need to know and understand what you’re looking at and how to evaluate the installation for compliance.  This presentation identifies the tools and understanding you’ll need to conduct an effective inspection.

Our Speaker is Thomas Harris of PUR Consulting LLC.  Tom has over 40 years of experience in the Global Polyurethane Foam industry holding several positions from Chemist and Product Development to Marketing and Business Management in firms such as BASF, Honeywell and Demilec (Huntsman).

Tom has developed and codified product and installation standards for the Canadian and U.S, Industry and is a founding member of the Air Barrier Association of America and the Net Zero Energy Coalition.  Tom is a certified Air Barrier Installation Auditor, SPFA and ABAA faculty member and active industry trade association member.  Tom chairs the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance’s Consultants Committee and participates on 4 other committees within the SPFA.  He is a voting member of ASHRAE, ASTM and UL Canada.  Most recently, Tom has launched BEAT – building envelope audit team – a nation-wide group of trained energy auditors focusing exclusively on the building envelope.
