Built-Up Roofing (BUR) Components

A built-up roofing (BUR) system is a multi-layered roof typically installed on low-slope or flat roofs. The 
alternating layers (plies) consist of asphalt and roofing felt, topped with a surface layer of gravel to 
protect against UV damage and weathering.
