InterNACHI increases its membership requirements again.

The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, Inc (InterNACHI) has again increased its membership requirements effective January 1, 2008.  Members and new applicants will be required to take InterNACHI's Green Building Course, including all 49 quizzes and pass its final exam.

The course is designed to educate inspectors about what green building is, why it’s important and how to recognize green systems and features in homes.  It addresses the three main aspects of green building: energy-efficiency, sustainable materials and practices and healthy homes.

Although the requirement goes into effect on January 1, 2008, InterNACHI is giving everyone 18 months to complete the course which includes 49 quizzes and a final exam.  Everyone is welcome to take the course before applying for membership if they so choose, as the course is free, open to all and can be taken again and again without limit.

Members will need their username and password.  If you have forgotten your password CLICK HERE (instant response) or email fast-reply@internachi.org and request it (don't forget your name).  Non-members are welcome to take the course as well at no charge and can acquire a password at the first page of the course.
