Free Online 90-Hour Pre-Licensing Training Course in Louisiana
The free, online 90-hour pre-licensing course is actually a combination of several online courses (see below). This combination of online courses equals 90 hours of required initial training. The following courses are online and free to members.

- 8 hours: Complete InterNACHI's Residential Plumbing Overview for Inspectors Course (online and free for members), including all quizzes within and pass its final exam.
- 4 hours: Complete InterNACHI's Structural Issues for Home Inspectors Course (online and free for members), including all quizzes within and pass its final exam.
- 4 hours: Complete InterNACHI's Safe Practices for the Home Inspector Course (online and free for members), including all quizzes within and pass its final exam.
- 3 hours: Complete InterNACHI's Inspecting Foundation Walls and Piers Course (online and free for members), including all quizzes within and pass its final exam.
- 5 hours: Complete InterNACHI's 25 Standards Every Inspector Should Know Course (online and free for members), including all quizzes within and pass its final exam.
- 8 hours: Complete InterNACHI's How to Inspect for Moisture Intrusion Course (online and free for members), including all quizzes within and pass its final exam.
- 3 hours: Complete InterNACHI's How to Perform Deck Inspections Course (online and free for members), including all quizzes within and pass its final exam.
- 8 hours: Complete InterNACHI's How to Inspect the Exterior Course (online and free for members), including all quizzes within and pass its final exam.

- 8 hours: Complete InterNACHI's Defect Recognition and Report Writing Course (online and free for members), including all quizzes within and pass its final exam.
- 5 hours: Complete InterNACHI's How to Inspect Water Heater Tanks Course (online and free for members), including all quizzes within and pass its final exam.
- 8 hours: Complete InterNACHI's Appliance Inspection for Home Inspectors Course (online and free for members), including all quizzes within and pass its final exam.
State Required Forms:
Each student that successfully completes the pre-licensing training must email education@internachi.org to submit the following documents to Louisiana:
- New Trainee Registration Form. Each student is required to submit to the state within 10 days of starting the pre-licensing course. Please download the form, fill out the student information sections, and send it to education@internachi.org to have it submitted to the state on your behalf.
- Certificate of Completion Form. Each student is required to submit to the state within 10 days of completing the course. Please email education@internachi.org upon completing the last course in the pre-licensing list (found above or at https://www.nachi.org/pre-licensing-certificate.htm) so InterNACHI may submit the form to the state on your behalf.
Final Certificate of Completion:
To receive a final certificate of completion (after completing all 90 hours of training), go to your InterNACHI® Account, choose your state.
