AlbertaACHI South

A Chapter for Home Inspectors, Run by Home Inspectors.

Our Mission
To safeguard Alberta homebuyers by fostering a community of elite, highly-trained home inspectors dedicated to transparency, technical excellence, and the highest ethical standards in the industry.

Our Vision
To be the definitive regional authority for home inspection excellence in Southern Alberta, where the bridge between professional education and real-world application ensures every property owner can make informed decisions with absolute confidence.

About AlbertaACHI South: Our Mission & Evolution

The AlbertaACHI South chapter marks a significant milestone for home inspection professionals across Southern Alberta. Historically rooted in a single provincial organization, we have strategically evolved into a specialized regional chapter to better serve the unique needs of our local inspectors and the communities they protect.

Because we are a chapter for home inspectors, run by home inspectors, we understand the unique challenges of the Alberta market firsthand. This transition allows us to focus our resources on the distinct geological, climatic, and architectural landscapes of the South—from the unique soil conditions of the prairies to the specific building challenges of the foothills and mountain regions.

As a proud affiliate of InterNACHI, we serve as the local hub for excellence. We are more than just a membership roster; we are a professional collective dedicated to elevating the industry through shared knowledge and advocacy. Our chapter provides a platform for members to navigate provincial licensing requirements with confidence, ensuring every inspector under our banner is equipped with the latest regulatory updates and technical insights.

Industry Partnerships & Engagement
We believe that excellence in home inspection requires staying connected to the wider construction and development sectors. AlbertaACHI South actively facilitates:

  • Municipal Liaison: We engage in talks and meetings with the City of Calgary and other regional municipalities to stay updated on local building policies and industry engagement initiatives.
  • Sector Collaboration: Our chapter hosts meetings and presentations involving other sectors of the building industry, including contractors, engineers, and municipal officials, to foster a deeper understanding of evolving construction standards.
  • Professional Networking: We participate in and organize industry showcases that bridge the gap between inspectors and public partners.

Standards and Integrity
At the core of our chapter is an unwavering commitment to professional integrity. AlbertaACHI South members strictly follow InterNACHI’s International Standards of Practice (SOP) and their rigorous Code of Ethics. These documents serve as our foundational blueprint, ensuring that every inspection provides the public with a comprehensive, unbiased, and technically sound evaluation of the property.

Regional Technical Training: Turning Theory into Practice
We bridge the gap between online learning and field application. AlbertaACHI South provides the vital link between InterNACHI’s online curriculum and real-world application through:

  • Diverse Technical Coursework: In addition to core training, we facilitate hands-on learning for a wide range of ancillary services and specialized environmental testing, ensuring our members can offer a comprehensive suite of services.
  • Field Follow-Alongs & Mock Inspections: Gain on-site experience and practice your skills in a low-pressure environment with peer feedback.
  • Software Mastery Sessions: Master the industry's leading reporting tools to streamline your business and improve report accuracy.
  • Specialized Technical Training: Access hands-on demonstrations specifically designed for the Southern Alberta climate and construction styles.
  • Mentorship & Coaching: Connect with Master Home Inspectors for one-on-one coaching, professional advice, and training services tailored to the unique demands of the Alberta market.
