The InterNACHI/Bay Area Chapter of TPREIA will meet on Wednesday March 11 at 6:00pm
The most common and difficult questions new and experienced inspectors ask are how to perform a foundation inspection and report results. Poorly written or improperly reported you don’t help your client and may find yourself liable. Too often the opinion is not clear or oversteps the standards or runs afoul of other licenses.
TREC standards of practice is very clear that an inspector should “generally report present and visible indications used to render the opinion of adverse performance” and “render a written opinion as to the performance of the foundation”. Ed Robinson, Professional Engineering, Inc. will discuss the limits of that opinion and meeting the standards of practice without overstepping into rendering an engineering opinion.
This is a regularly scheduled meeting, but PLEASE take the time to register so that we can anticipate attendance.
