East-Central Ontario Chapter meeting Wednesday, March 31st, 2004.


UPDATE:  76 inspectors attended the meeting.  A great time was had by all.

EVERYONE is cordially invited to the next meeting of the East-Central Ontario Chapter of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI), Wednesday, March 31st, 2004 at 6pm. New and veteran home inspectors, as well as members of all other associations, are all welcome-you need not be a member of InterNACHI. Anyone interested in home inspections can attend. Dress casual if you like, as our meetings are informal and fun, the way they should be. Spouses welcome. Come hungry!

This meeting is FREE and open to all.

1.  Paul Wilson from Home Inspectors of Ottawa will discuss:

  • Home Inspection Introductory Training Course.

2. Nick Gromicko, REALTOR, ad agency owner & Executive Director of InterNACHI will discuss:

  • Marketing your home inspection service to real estate agents.
  • Raising your prices when your competition charges less.
  • Converting every call into a scheduled inspection.
  • Spectoscopes  (we're giving away a free one at the meeting).

3. Attorney Brad Comeau, real estate lawyer from Stirling Ontario will discuss:

  • The home inspector thru the eyes of the court. "It’s only an opinion, until the judge rules… then we know the facts."

4.  Lorne Steiner, Porter Valley Software on: 

  • Avoiding litigation and inspection software demo.
  • Better business practices for home inspectors.

Cocktails at 6pm, dinner at 7pm, followed by Chapter Meeting Hot Buffet: Beef, chicken or fish, and all the trimmings, $20

7. Free marketing help: After the meeting I will stay and help any inspector one-on-one, so bring your flyers/brochures for us to work on. I will also be available the next morning during breakfast.
