Sidewall Flashing

Base flashing installed against a vertical wall can be continuous or step flashing. It should be at 
least 4 inches in height and 4 inches in width. It must direct water away from the wall onto the roof 
or into a gutter. If siding is installed on the vertical wall, the vertical part of the base flashing should 
be continuous under the siding.
