Flat Roof Installation: EPDM Membrane (Fully Adhered)

EPDM is a single-ply membrane that has outstanding resistance to deterioration from heat, ozone, and weather.
Compared to other systems used for similar purposes, EPDM performs especially well in cold weather. EPDM may
be installed in multiple ways. One installation method is fully adhered, in which the membrane is fastened down
with contact cement. This is the preferred method of installing the membrane. Fully adhered membranes do not
allow billowing. Billowing is the stretching and detachment from the substrate, usually due to uplift or inflation from
the wind. Always refer to the specific manufacturer’s installation guide for reference.
