Become an InterNACHI-Certified Home Inspector. Join us for five days of home inspection training at the InterNACHI® House of Horrors®. This training is for anyone new to the home inspection business and for those who want to enhance their skills. Certified Master Inspectors CMI® will teach you at the House of Horrors®, an entire house built with a thousand defects under our roof. You will conduct supervised home inspections at the House of Horrors® and write inspection reports with other inspectors.
Advanced Electrical Inspection Training

Want to learn how residential electrical service has evolved? From knob-and-tube wiring with fuses to today's standard 200-amp Square D panel, you'll see examples of the different types of wiring used and the common defects you'll find in homes at the Pennsylvania House of Horrors®.
Follow the instructors as they perform inspections of mock-up panels and components. After completing this training, you'll be able to inspect a typical electrical panel out in the field and identify common electrical violations, defects, and concerns.
Certified Residential Mold Inspector & Assessment Training

Learn how to inspect and assess mold in this two-day training. You'll learn how to: perform a mold inspection; describe different types of mold; explain potential health problems caused by exposure to mold; perform sampling; interpret lab reports; and recognize remediation efforts. This course will also touch on testing techniques for water quality, asbestos, radon gas, and lead-based paint.
Well and Septic System Inspecting Field Training

Get hands-on in-field training at the InterNACHI® House of Horrors® in Pennsylvania. In this one-day training, you will learn how to inspect a well and septic system. This training will cover different types of systems, common problems, how to identify defects, and various testing procedures.
The training takes place at the InterNACHI® House of Horrors® in Bloomsburg, PA.
NYS-licensed home inspectors will receive 8 hours of state-approved CE. This training qualifies for 8 InterNACHI® CE credits.

Residential Plumbing for Home Inspectors

During this 1-day class, you will learn how to perform an inspection of the plumbing system of a home. The class covers a review of water leaks, inadequate water supplies, water contamination, and incorrect installations of components. You'll inspect the various components of the plumbing system within the House of Horrors®. You will also identify components of the plumbing system and learn how to describe these defects to clients.
2-Day Roof Inspection Training
$500 USD for InterNACHI® members
During this class, you'll expand your skills and learn how to:
inspect different types of residential roofs; identify the systems and components of roofs; understand how the components of a roof system function and perform; describe to clients the defects you observed at the roof system; and verify that the installation of the roof covering and underlayment follows common building practices or the general recommendations of most roof covering manufacturers.
Sewer Scope Inspection Training

Become a Certified Sewer Scope Inspector by taking this one-day hands-on training held at the InterNACHI® House of Horrors®. You'll learn how to perform sewer scope inspections, identify and describe pipes and defects observed during the inspection, and add this ancillary inspection to your business in the most profitable way. You'll be using a few different types of sewer scopes and cameras. And you'll be inspecting various types of pipe and defects purposely installed in the pipe system at the House of Horrors®.

Advanced Well Inspection Training

Upon successful completion of the training at the House of Horrors@, the student will be able to identify the different types of wells, perform a proper water test, check the well's meter and interpret the results, understand static water testing and what it tells you about the well, report to clients defects observed in a well system during an inspection, identify health and safety hazards in the well system, and understand the importance of well water quality and safety. You will inspect a mock-up functioning well system under controlled conditions in a hands-on classroom setting.

2-Day Exterior Inspections Training

During this class, you will learn how to inspect the exterior systems and components of a home. You will learn to identify the components of the exterior; inspect and evaluate each component for its performance; understand how moisture, heat, and energy move through a home; and how to describe observed defects to clients.
NYS-licensed home inspectors will receive 8 hours of state-approved CE (Approval # L2880-08). This training qualifies for 8 InterNACHI® CE credits.

Moisture Intrusion for Home Inspectors

During this class, you will learn how to inspect for indications of moisture intrusion; communicate how to prevent moisture intrusion by proper installation of systems and components; understand how energy, moisture, water, and vapor move through a building; recognize evidence of structural damage and previous repair; and communicate to clients indications of moisture intrusion.
This training qualifies for 24 InterNACHI® CE credits.

Introduction to Commercial Property Inspections 3-Day Class

This 3-day in-person training at the House of Horrors@ or partnership locations will teach you how to inspect commercial buildings. Students will learn inspection procedures and successful business practices. We will learn the key differences between commercial and residential services, including types of properties, systems, components, standards, procedures, and clients. This class is hosted by the Certified Commercial Property Inspectors Association - CCPIA.org.
