The InterNACHI® Home Inspector Certificate Program is accredited, free, and online for InterNACHI® members. InterNACHI® School (www.internachi.edu) is the only home inspector school accredited by a national accrediting agency of the U.S. Department of Education to provide tuition-free online training, examination, certification, and continuing education to InterNACHI® members. Verify the accreditation.
Step #1: Pass the Online Inspector Examination. We recommend taking the exam now. It is free, online, and open to everyone including non-members. It can be repeated to help identify your strengths and weaknesses as a home inspector.
To maintain your Certified Professional Inspector CPI® certification, you must complete the following twelve free, online courses provided by InterNACHI® School within twelve months of completing Step #6:
Unlike other home inspection associations, InterNACHI front-ends many of its certification requirements and requires that its members take many courses and examinations after joining. In other words, all of our certified members must fulfill certification requirements before they can become certified. Other associations have few or no entrance requirements, and encourage their members and associates to go out and perform hundreds of unqualified inspections for poor, unsuspecting consumers.
Note to Existing Members:
InterNACHI's membership requirements are subject to change, but existing members need only comply with the requirements in effect at the time they joined.
Note to Members of Other Associations:
Members of other associations are welcome to join InterNACHI, but a requirement of membership is that InterNACHI must be given equal prominence in your marketing materials (such as brochures and websites) as the other associations you belong to.
