Hudson Valley Chapter meeting Tues., Nov. 30th, 2004

EVERYONE is cordially invited to the next meeting of the next Hudson Valley NY Chapter of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) on Tuesday, November 30th, 2004. Based in the Hudson Valley of New York state, the chapter now has more than 70 members and is attracting more members from throughout its home state, as well as parts of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. This monthly meeting is the home inspection event of the Northeast. New and veteran home inspectors are all welcome-you need not be a member of InterNACHI. Anyone interested in home inspections can attend. Dress casual if you like, as our meetings are informal and fun, the way they should be. Spouses welcome. Come hungry!

Guest Speaker:
Ted Cuttitta, CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep, owner of HiTor Chimney Sweeps, and a NY InterNACHI Affiliate Member.
Proposed Agenda:
Teddy will be discussing chimney inspections, and more importantly, Level II chimney inspections. Level II inspections are actually mandated in NY State for all real estate transactions. Teddy will be showing us what is entailed in a Level II inspection, along with videos, and an actual camera used in for ths specific purpose.

He'll also be discussing some common pitfalls for inspectors to try and avoid on the inspection process.

In addition to Teddy's instructional presentation, Joe Farsetta will be providing a NY State legislative update. InterNACHI's newly announced ARBITRATION SERVICE will also be introduced, and opportunities for Q&A will be available. A brief roundtable discussion will also take place regarding legislation and other issues.
