Puget Sound InterNACHI Chapter meeting October 12th, 2004. All welcome.

EVERYONE is cordially invited to a Marketing and Legislative Luncheon hosted by the Puget Sound Chapter of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI), Tuesday, October 12th, 2004 from 11am-2pm.  New and veteran home inspectors as well as members of all other associations are all welcome-you need not be a member of InterNACHI. Anyone interested in home inspections can attend. Dress casual if you like as our meetings are informal and fun, the way they should be. Spouses welcome. Come hungry!  We will be having a lunch buffet.  This meeting is open to all.  $25/person at door.
 
Our first speaker will be Dr. Dan Suomi, Head of Inspector Licensing for Washington State.  He will be speaking on:
  • Certification for home inspectors doing wood destroying/pest inspections.
  • Requirements for home inspectors in Washington State.
  • How government and InterNACHI members can work together to avoid unnecessary litigation.
Our second speaker will be Mrs. Bobbie Petrone-Cassidy, President of the Tacoma Pierce County Association of REALTORS and Managing Broker of Coldwell Banker in Puyallup, Washington.  She will be speaking on:
  • Creating a successful relationship between REALTOR and Inspector
  • Getting REALTORS to do their "due diligence" in finding qualified inspectors.
Our third speaker:  Lorne Steiner, President of Porter Valley Software.  He will be speaking on:
  • Avoiding litigation.
  • Inspection software demo.
Our last speaker will be Nick Gromicko, former veteran REALTOR, ad agency owner and Executive Director of InterNACHI.  He will be speaking on:
  • Home inspection licensing in Washington and InterNACHI's legislative successes.
  • How to market your home inspection services directly to home buyers in Washington.
  • How to raise your prices in Washington when your competitors charge less.
  • 20 things you can do to improve your home inspection business.
  • Less expensive E&O insurance and InterNACHI's Consumer Recovery Fund. 
  • Puget Sound Chapter strategies for taking over the Seattle area inspection market.
  • Internet home inspection lead generation in Washington.
Door Prizes:
Eye Candy Reporter has sent us 2 full versions of their software to give away ($1,000.00).  Don West of Down to Earth Sites is giving away a free website ($225.00).   Dan Jones of Precision Publishers has sent us his VHS tape of how to do inspections and his home inspection success book ($200.00).  ITA has sent us catalogs and some freebies.  HomeGauge sent us pens and flashlights.  Porter Valley Software sent us a Toshiba Pocket PC to give away ($300.00).  Other door prizes too.
 
Dues: There are currently no dues required to join this Puget Sound InterNACHI Chapter. You need not join to attend.
