Mock Inspection Report Review for Members


If You Have...

... already performed a fee-paid home inspection, you can skip this report review.
... never performed any fee-paid home inspection, you must submit four written reports from mock (or simulated) home inspections to InterNACHI for review. This is certification requirement Step #5 for members who have never performed a fee-paid home inspection. Proceed to Step #1 below.

Step #1:

  • Perform four mock -- or simulated -- home inspections. A mock inspection is performed for no fee and according to InterNACHI's Home Inspection Standards of Practice. The inspection could be performed on your own home, a friend's home, another inspector's home, etc. 

Step #2: 

  • Write and submit a home inspection report based upon each mock inspection using InterNACHI's Inspection Report Checklist. (free to members). You must include your InterNACHI membership ID number in the report. Forgotten it?

 The checklist is quick and easy. Inspection pictures are not required.
The form will notify you via email if your submission has been received.


If you are having issues with the form, please try the following:
  1. Save the form every few pages, as it is rather long and this will allow you to resume from where you left off.
  2. Clear your browser's cache and cookies and try again from the beginning of the form.
  3. Complete the form in Chrome's Incognito Mode or try using a different browser such as Firefox.
