NORMI™ offers home inspectors two paths to enter the microbial and indoor air quality assessment field. In states that require mold licensing (FL, TX, NY, DC, LA) and other states that require or recommend training (CA, IL, and more), inspectors take the minimum three-day CMACMR course covering both assessment and remediation work. In all other states, InterNACHI members can earn the exclusive NCMI™ (NORMI Certified Microbial Inspector) designation through an invitation-only, eight-hour online course.
The NCMI curriculum is taught by Doug Hoffman, Tim Butler, Dr. Andrew Heyman, and Dr. Michael Pinto, and covers ethics, NORMI professional practices, the IAQ/mold assessment process, sampling and equipment, sanitization and remediation solutions, and a medical advisory overview. The proctored certification exam is included in the course fee, along with student slides, inspection agreements, NCMI logos, chain-of-custody forms, and NORMI's professional practices guide.
Become a member and receive an email with the registration link for the class…easy! Please note: This course will be available exclusively to those invited and will NOT appear on BTS or Training.NORMI.org.
