Goal:

The goal of this course is to teach the inspector about possible sources of moisture intrusion in and outside of the home.  

Objectives: 

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 

  • Describe the areas of moisture intrusion within roofs, insulation, and siding; 
  • List susceptible areas of systems that may be compromised; 
  • Identify issues within different types of siding; 
  • Perform an inspection related to systems and components; 
  • Generate observations related to moisture intrusion; and 
  • Produce written reports related to observations conducted at a house.

  • 29 InterNACHI CE credit hours;

  • 10 quiz questions in two quizzes;
  • Inspection and writing assignment; 
  • Research and writing assignment;
  • 15-question final exam; and
