FIND A MENTOR

BECOME A MENTOR

Find an InterNACHI® Mentor who is an experienced inspector willing to volunteer to provide informal tutoring to InterNACHI® members and students. Working with a mentor is not a requirement to complete an online course at InterNACHI® School.

Mentoring enables members to work with volunteers through email and messaging regardless of geographic location. By using electronic communications, online mentoring develops and grows the knowledge, skills, abilities, confidence, and understanding of an individual.

You must be an InterNACHI® member to access the mentoring program.

To become an InterNACHI® Mentor, you must:

  • be an InterNACHI® member in good standing;
  • be an InterNACHI® Certified Professional Inspector CPI®;
  • have been performing home inspections for at least three years;
  • be in compliance with InterNACHI's Continuing Education Policy;
  • agree to assist other InterNACHI® members on a volunteer basis with guidance and informal instruction, including providing academic assistance, reviewing inspection reports, checking and evaluating assignments, offering instructional feedback, and modeling scholarly and professional behavior; and
  • agree to assist InterNACHI® staff when needed, particularly when an InterNACHI® member or student has a question related to performing inspections, training, certification, business, and marketing.

InterNACHI® Mentors are permitted to download and use the InterNACHI® Certified Mentor logo.
