How to Become a Home Inspector in Rhode Island

Licensing Exam Prep (online & free for members):

In August 2019, the Rhode Island Contractors' Registration and Licensing Board approved the final version of the rules and regulations governing licensing for home inspectors, which were then approved by the state’s Office of Regulatory Reform (ORR).  The Secretary of State will oversee a month of public comments, after which a final determination will be made. Barring any issues, these rules and regulations for the licensing of home inspectors should go into effect January 2020.
