Home Inspector Continuing Education (free & online)

InterNACHI Certified Home Inspectors are required to complete 24 hours of Continuing Education every year to renew their certification. InterNACHI School provides free, online education courses to members so they can renew their certifications at no additional cost. 
The Colorado State Plumbing Board approves InterNACHI's courses for continuing education credits for licensed plumbers.

Insurance for Inspectors

Although Colorado doesn’t have requirements regarding insurance for home inspectors, many local real estate boards and home inspector business franchises require their affiliate members to meet certain coverage standards. InterNACHI members are eligible for discounts and enhanced coverage. Visit for information on how to sign up.

Vocational Rehabilitation

InterNACHI is an approved vendor of the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, a federal and state resource that helps people who have physical or mental disabilities get or keep a job. If you’re interested in becoming a home inspector and have a physical or mental disability, Vocational Rehabilitation may pay for an InterNACHI membership, or assist you in obtaining the equipment and resources you will need. Real Estate Cards (free for members)

Colorado-licensed real estate agents can attain free Continuing Education credits by following the directions on the real estate cards. Members can hand out these cards to real estate agents, which explain how to log into the free courses.
When an agent logs into a course and enters the member's ID number, the member is automatically emailed. The first slide of the course is the member's contact information. 



Radon Tester Certification (free & online)

Beginning July 1st, 2022 Radon professionals will need to be licensed by the Colorado Office of Radon Professionals. We recommend getting certified by the NRPP by completing InterNACHI's free, online radon course and passing the certification exam provided by NRPP. Applicants will also need professional liability insurance. Visit the Colorado website for details.
InterNACHI's free, online Radon Measurement Professional Initial Training Course  is AARST-NRPP-approved for both initial certification and Continuing Education. To complete all components of the NRPP Radon Certification, please visit their site for more information.  
InterNACHI's free, online Radon Measurement Professional Initial Training Course is NRSB-approved for initial certification. For those looking for NRSB continuing education, members should take the free, online "Advanced Radon Measurement Service Provider" course.

Wood-Destroying Organism Inspector Certification

The Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) does not regulate home inspectors who may report upon indications of wood-destroying organism damage during a home inspection.  Read the CDA letter to InterNACHI from November 2018
