How to Become a Certified Home Inspector in Oregon
The training and certification to become an Oregon-certified home inspector is online and free for InterNACHI® members. InterNACHI® School is accredited as a postsecondary education institution by the national accrediting agency of the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) to provide free online training, examination, certification, and continuing education to InterNACHI® members in Oregon. Starting Oct. 1, 2015, candidates for certification as an Oregon home inspector are required to pass the National Home Inspector Examination. To be eligible to take the state exam, individuals must provide proof of education points. To obtain education points, take free, online courses provided by InterNACHI. Radon Tester Certification (online & free for members):
Though Oregon does not regulate individuals performing radon testing, measurement, and mitigation the Oregon Public Health Department's Radon Program recommends hiring a Certified Radon Tester who has completed a radon measurement training certification course approved by either the NRPP or the NRSB.
