FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

RESNET Approves InterNACHI's Online Home Inspection Energy Tool

BOULDER, Colo. (May 25, 2012)—RESNET, the Residential Energy Services Network, today approved InterNACHI's online Home Energy Inspection Tool that members can use to perform Home Energy Inspections. The tool was developed as a nationally recognized system for home inspectors to use as a quick way for home buyers and sellers to understand how their home's energy performance compares to that of others in the same region.

As announced yesterday, RESNET has also just awarded accreditation to InterNACHI as a national Home Energy Survey Provider.

The Home Energy Inspection and Score provide recommendations for energy upgrades, as well as an estimate of how much these improvements can increase the home's energy efficiency in order to achieve a higher Home Score and help homeowners save money.

Home inspectors can access the Home Energy Report at https://www.nachi.org/home-energy-inspection.htm

The InterNACHI Energy Inspection tool is easy to use and only requires 15 extra minutes of work for a home inspector. InterNACHI sees this as a way for our members to easily add revenue and value to each inspection and drive responsible energy consumption at the same time.
